On this off-roading day trip to the Enchanted Terraces, you'll immerse yourself in the soul of the island by exploring laurissilva forests declared a World Heritage Site, rural trails sculpted into terraces, spectacular waterfalls, and emblematic natural pools of volcanic rock.
Half-Day Trip Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up at the meeting point you select and from there, we'll start our panoramic trip toward the Serra d'Água, a breathtaking steep valley flanked by impressive mountains where you can enjoy the contrasting views of the peaks and the immense plateau that characterizes the island.
We continue our journey to the first terrace – Encumeada. There will head deep into the immense laurisilva forest and enjoy the ocean views from high up. You'll feel the rush of adrenaline as we follow the ancient forest tracks, before arriving at Ginjas, our next stop.
Long trails will guide us through the tropical jungle and the sound of the birds, which becomes very striking in Paul da Serra, will make you feel far removed from the hustle and bustle of your everyday life.
In Fanal, we'll continue enjoying the ethereal dance of the waterfalls just before they merge into the sea. In Porto Moniz, we'll see the lava remains that have created the most beautiful pools in the world. As long as the weather conditions, sea conditions, and opening times allow and are safe, you'll have the opportunity to take a revitalizing dip in its waters.
After a full day, we'll begin the return journey in the off-road vehicle and drop you off at the same pickup points.

During the booking process, please select a place from where you want to start the tour:
- Zone 1: Funchal and Caniço.
- Zone 2 (5EUR supplement): Puerto de Funchal, Ponta do Sol, and Câmara de Lobos.
- Zone 3 (10EUR supplement): Jardim da Serra, Calheta, São Vicente, Machico, and Santa Cruz.
- Zone 4 (15EUR supplement): Ponta Delgada, Porto da Cruz, Camacha, Santo Da Serra, and Caniçal.
- Zone 5 (20EUR supplement): Santana, Prazeres, Porto Moniz, Paul do Mar, Fajã da Ovelha, Faial, and Jardim do Mar.
Supplements are paid directly to the driver on the day of the excursion.

If you wish to add lunch on the Terraces, please inform us when making your reservation, as it's not included in the tour. The price of the menu is 26EUR per person.
