On this visit to Spinoglio Winery, we’ll explore the vineyards, the old cellar, and enjoy a tasting of 4 exquisite Uruguayan wines paired with food. You’ll also have the option to savor a delicious multi-course lunch.
Activity Details
At the indicated time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Montevideo. Once we’re ready in the vehicle, we’ll head north on a 40 minute journey. Before we know it, the aroma of ripe grapes and the sight of the vineyard will let us know we’ve arrived at Spinoglio Winery. Get your taste buds ready!
The winery will welcome us with its historic stone-wall architecture. During the visit, we’ll go down to the cellar, an underground refuge where the barrels are kept under ideal aging conditions. Afterward, we’ll walk through Spinoglio’s vineyards, which have 120 years of history.
An expert winemaker will explain the art of transforming grapes into wines with notes that reflect the Uruguayan terroir. We’ll learn in detail about the history of Spinoglio, the tradition passed down through generations, and their passion for aging this exquisite fermented juice.
Then comes one of the most anticipated moments, when we sit down for a wine tasting at the winery. We’ll savor each glass, with distinct aromas, body, and nuances that connect us to Spinoglio’s legacy. After the tasting, you’ll have bicycles available to explore the fields and gardens at your own pace.
Finally, we’ll begin the return journey to your hotel and say our goodbyes after a total of 6 hours of tour.
